Enter The Covenant
The latest updates from Covenant of Horror including new projects, being available on Amazon, and live appearances.
Greetings from the covenant, this week I have lots of developments to share with you, but before we jump into it. Please share and subscribe if you enjoy my content.
Poetry Collection is Now Live
My poetry collection ‘Music is the Gateway, Imagination is the Key’ made its print debut last month. The event was a huge success, and I received some valuable feedback. One question I was asked a lot was if my book was on Amazon. At the time, it wasn’t, and the only place to get a copy was from me directly or on Mixam’s print-on-demand site.
On the 18th of July that all those changes. My debut poetry collection will be available on Amazon and Kindle on July 18th. The book is currently live for pre-orders and available in all territories through Amazon.
Everything about this collection, from writing to publishing, has been a fascinating journey that I can’t wait to have again.

Update from the Covenant - Music is the Gateway, Imagination is the Key is out
Welcome back to my Substack. I’ve been eager to share this post with you all. If you've been following me here and on social media, you’ll know I’ve been working on a poetry chapbook. Music is the Gateway; imagination is the Key, and along the way, I’ve had some setbacks.
Next Chapter of The Bog
The latest chapter of my horror series, The Bog, is now live on Substack. This originally started as a short story but has grown into a fantastic series that I love returning to each month. Chapter 4 is currently live, and within the next few weeks, I’ll be unleashing Chapter 5.
You can catch up on the series before the latest chapter now and subscribe to know when the next chapter drops.
The story follows five friends who take a yearly camping trip into the bog-filled woods. Only this year, they discover a cabin and learn they aren’t the only ones camping in the woods.

The Bog - Short Story
Greetings from the cabin I call my writing room. I previously mentioned that I wanted to give you a story a month this year. While that was the goal, writing is unpredictable, and this was originally supposed to be a short story. The more I wrote the more the story took over and morphed into something longer than expected. With that in mind, I have deci…
Hunt for the Wendigo Sequel
I teased months back that I was working on a sequel to my short epistolary story ‘To Hunt a Wendigo.’ During that time, I have been working on two sequels, ‘To Hunt Bigfoot’ and ‘To Hunt a Sea Monster.’
I loved writing the first story that I found myself lost in the world of epistolary cryptid stories. These stories will go live in August and will be available to paid subscribers only.
To Hunt A Wendigo - Short Story
Hi all, I wanted to share with you a short story I wrote ‘To Hunt A Wendigo’. Hope you enjoy this tale, I had a lot of fun working on it.
Rainbow and the Saga of Speed
A few years ago, I was hired by the Twitch streamer RainbowLion12 to turn their life into a comic book series. Together, we spent over a year developing and writing what would become the first volume of the series – Rainbow and the Sage of Speed.
I loved working on this series, and I’m incredibly proud to see the finished product on Tapas. I always get a sense of accomplishment when a client reaches back out to show me how my script was translated.
You can read the first few pages now, with new pages dropping every other Wednesday.
Music Review
You may have noticed there has been a lack of music coverage. This is due to a few factors, from my day job requiring more of me lately, to me working on new ways to present this coverage. I love my written review, and that will never change, but moving forward in July, I will be recording my reviews. These will be released for now as audio-only reviews and will be posted alongside the written review.
I’m also working on a Best Tracks of The Year So Far List and some reviews for albums released this year I didn’t get around to, and future releases like the new albums from Hot Milk and Ward XVI.
Lights - A6 - Album Review
It’s been a decade since I became a fan of Canadian electro-pop visionary Lights. In that time, I’ve seen them experiment with sound and style, but one thing has stayed consistent. Each outing delivers stunning songs that traverse grief, joy, and Self-discovery. A6 Light’s sixth studio album is no different, except this album feels like exploring these …

Live Appearances
Since my appearance at the Youth Market in Bolton, the itch to appear at conventions has returned. That is why I will be appearing at Travelling Man’s Small Press Day celebration. I will be in their Manchester Store [UK] on the 19th of July from 10 am – 2 pm selling issue one of Butcher with a Smile, Music is the Gateway, Imagination in the Key, and a host of other goodies.
This is currently my only live appearance this year. So, if you wanted a copy of any of my work directly from me, this is the place to be.
Secret Project
There is one last thing I’d like to tease and that’s an anthology book I have been writing with the help of a witch. This project has been in development for a few months, and we are finally at a place where we’re happy with the stories we want to include.
I am currently writing the book with the hopes of being able to reveal the full details in October.
That is all from the Covenant for now. If you made it this far, I appreciate your support. If you haven’t done so already, please like, share, and subscribe to this newsletter.
