It’s that time again for another Music Spotlight. If you missed the first Music Spotlight, you can check it out here. This is my feature where I share new tracks, album news, and artists I think more people should listen to.
Kicking Music Spotlight II off is Royal Republic. Last month I reviewed their latest single ‘My House’ and fell in love with their sound. Also, at the end, I mentioned how there was a potential tease of a new album or single – ‘LoveCop’. This week we got our answer, both. ‘LoveCop’ is both the title of their next track and the title of their fifth album, which Adam Grahn and Michael Ilbert produced at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin.
The self-proclaimed Power-Disco quartet knows their way around a hook, and I’m excited to see what ‘LoveCop’ has to offer on June 7th via Odyssey Music.
Hanabie Unleash Fury On New Single ‘Otaku Lovely Densetsu’
The Tokyo metal outfit Hanabie is another group I’ve talked about before. Reviewing their major label debut, ‘Reborn Superstar!’ via Sony Music last year. They followed up that release with ‘Otaku Lovely Densetsu’ that continues their signature style combining metalcore, hardcore, and Akihabara culture.
There is no stopping the success of Hanabie and with each single getting better and better.
Paradoxx Set to Release their Debut Album
Next up is a new band I recently came across the J-Metal band Paradoxx. I came across the band two weeks ago with the release of the music video for ‘Singularity.’ The five-piece power-metal outfit reminded me of Lovebites. Heavy ear-melting riffs, pulsating drums, and soaring vocals are all here for one intense listen.
Forming back in February of 2021 and after the release of a handful of singles, they are set to release their debut album ‘Paradoxical SINGULARITY’ on Valentine’s Day [14/02/24].
Paradoxx are Amane on Vocals,
Maiko on Guitar,
KAOЯI on Guitar,
Haaruna Ba on Bass,
and, Shono on Drums.
Stand Atlantic Drop Explosive Track Warzone
The Australian band is back with a new track this time tackling online hate. The latest single follows November’s ‘Sex On The Beach’.
Frontwoman Bonnie Fraser has described the motivation, sharing:
“I have been advised many times I shouldn’t respond to hate comments online, so I just wrote a song about it instead.
“I probably gotta work on this, but I think anyone who has experienced negative feedback that isn’t constructive or conducive for a respectful discussion, can understand the unrelenting strength it takes to not absolutely rinse someone who has put their hate online and directed it at you.
“This song is just a fantasy for myself and anyone else who wonders what the hell those people would actually do in real life if they would ever say it to your face. Which they wouldn’t because they’re cowards.”
Listen to the explosive track below.
