Here is a showcase of samples of my writing, from comics, short stories, and reviews. These pieces are some of my favourite pieces I’ve had the pleasure of working on in my decade-plus career as a writer. You can click the link below to enter a Google Drive to read the samples in full.

Terror in the Big Top
I was hired back in 2020 to write a horror comic set in a circus. The only guidance I had was that the villain had to be a ringmaster and involve a group of teens. I’m a huge fan of Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Goosebumps, and used that inspiration when working on this one-shot.
The Jitters
The Jitters is one of my favorite series I’ve had the pleasure of working on. The story follows Sarah Nightwalker, who moves to a small town after an incident, only to discover evil lurks in the shadows and may have led her to this town.

Necklace - Short Story
If you’ve subscribed to my Substack, you are aware that I also write short and long-form fiction. One of these stories is titled ‘Necklace’, a short story about a cursed necklace at a Halloween party. You can read an extract below and the whole story in the Google Drive file.
Necklace extract
[“Just take the damn necklace off,” screamed Jenny
She banged furiously on the bathroom stall at her Halloween party. She’d hoped it would be a party to remember, and, in a way, it was, but not as she intended.
“Sarah, take the necklace off before they take your soul,” she pleads.
“I can’t…I can’t find the clasp…Oh god, I think it’s started.” Sarah screams.
She’d locked herself in the stall, afraid of what she was becoming. Her fingers were desperately feeling the cold chain around her neck for the clasp. It was meant to be the centrepiece of her costume.
“Open the door, let me help you.”
Jenny banged on the door. She felt partly responsible for what was happening, having been with her the day she bought the necklace. She remembered how Sarah wanted to dress as someone from the Regency era but was having a hard time finding a necklace that matched her dress. That was until the amethyst jewel sparkled at them in the antique store window. ]
The Bog
The Bog is a story I’ve been publishing on here in segments every month. The story follows a group of friends who take an annual camping trip in their local bog, only this year they discover a cabin and that they might not be camping alone.
You can read a short excerpt below with a link to the current chapters below -
[It was a yearly tradition that Jenny, Henry, Emma, Chris, and Hector would go to the Richfield bog and camp out under the stars. This year was special for the group. Jenny and Chris officially became a couple after months of flirting, even if some didn’t fully understand how it worked.
“But you’re Ace yet dating Jenny?” Hector raised an eyebrow as he helped Chris pitch his tent.
“Yeah, just because I’m ace doesn’t mean I’m averse to dating. I just experience it differently from most.” There was a weariness to Chris’s voice as if he’d repeated this line a thousand times.
Chris didn’t care if he had to repeat himself if it meant more people understood his relationship and didn’t question it. Besides, he knew the night wasn’t about their relationship but his friendship. Seven years of camping that started as a prank.]
The Bog - Part I
Greetings from the cabin I call my writing room. I previously mentioned that I wanted to give you a story a month this year. While that was the goal, writing is unpredictable, and this was originally supposed to be a short story. The more I wrote the more the story took over and morphed into something longer than expected. With that in mind, I have deci…
Butcher with a Smile
This is the idea that inspired my desire to pursue writing. Inspired by The X-Files and my love of the supernatural, the story follows two detectives as they hunt for what they believe to be a normal murderer. They uncover something more sinister lurking in the shadows, the Butcher with a Smile. The story is inspired by the legend of the Kuchisake-Onna.
